Barney Fife's Police Academy

I am interested in hearing stories about dumb cops. I remember one instance where a group of us at an apartment complex caught an assault and robbery suspect (we were eyewitnesses so we knew he was guilty) and had his hands tied behind his back when a policeman arrived. After taking the victim's and our statements the policeman proceeded to walk away without taking the suspect. We all looked at each other for a minute then we yelled at the officer as he was turning a corner and asked him if he was going to take the criminal. He answered back saying did we know where he was? Well after some laughter as the officer had stood right beside the guy and saw his hands tied up we told him yes that the guy standing with us with his hands tied was the suspect. He proceeded to come get the guy and I cannot tell you how stupid he looked walking back to us. Anyway I have another situation right now where the whole force acts like they graduated from the above mentioned academy. The Hurst Police are some of the stupidest police I have ever seen. They cannot or will not get it through their heads that there is a dope house selling meth in their fair city even though a ten year old could tell what is going on. You would not believe the excuses and lies the police have given as reasons as to why they have not acted on this matter. Anyway the more I think about it I think I am insulting ol Barney as I think even he would have managed to stop the dope sellers in this case. What a bunch of clowns. Anyone else have any dealings with these idiots or others with similar IQ's? I myself have a few more but would like to hear from others before I relate them.
